1. Whatever great achievements the future may have in store for China, it is likely that
many of them will be born in northwestern Beijing.(Reading)
Whatever great progress you have made, you should remain modest.
Whatever happens to you, you should keep calm.
Whatever he did has nothing to do with our company.
I will do whatever you wish.
He’s always ready to correct whatever mistakes she has made.
2) It is likely/possible that... 如:
It is likely that his newly recorded songs will be popular.
It is likely that it will clear up tomorrow.

2. It is home to the Chinese Academy of Sciences and more than ten famous
universities, ...(Reading)
    ...is home to...
This place is home to pandas.
That mountain is home to this kind of wolves.

3. The science centre got started in the early 1980s, when Chen Chunxian, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, opened a privateresearch and development institute.(Reading)
类似的表达结构还有:get paid, get married, get changed, get dressed, get burnt, get separated。如:
    They got married in 2002.
The girl got dressed and left the room.
Watch out for the fire, or you’ll get burnt.

4. ... but they all share the spirit of creativity and scientific skill that have made Zhongguancun a success. (Reading)
The meeting turned out to be a success.
As a writer, he is a failure.
What a pity it is!
What a surprise to see you here!
It is a pleasure to be present at the meeting.

5. ... makes it clear that science and business can and must work together to build the future.  (Reading)
I have made it clear that this plan won’t do.

6. Not all the new companies can succeed, but the spirit and creativity they represent are more important than money. (Reading)
All the films are not worth seeing.
Not both his parents are teachers.
Every boy is not fond of fighting films.

7. We are not making that much money yet, ...(Reading)
I never thought that you had changed that much.
He had never seen that large a room.
