Introduction, Reading and vocabulary

一、学习目标 :

 （一）、掌握以下单词的音、形、意和用法

across;  boot;  continental;  face;  range;  landmark;  gallery;  situated;

symbol;  located; architect;  project;  sculpture;  birthplace;   civilization;

ancient

（二）、理解并掌以下词汇及短语的用法

１、  方位词in,  on,  to的区别　　介词across;  through;  over的区别　  近义词 symbol, sign, mark的用法  on the coast /  off the  coast区别　

２、重点词汇face   continental   situated   located 的意义和用法

３、短语　　

off/on the coast  look like    mountain range  be covered by

on/ to /in the south of     art gallery   more than      be located /

be situated    be famous for/be famous as/be famous to / be known by

四、学习过程 

任务１：借助课本１１３页的音标自读目标（一）中的词汇，可向小组其他同学求助，组长负责组内每位成员都能读准这些词。

任务２：根据中文释义背诵这些词汇

任务５：词汇解读，小组归纳
